For my experience in getting my wisdom teeth pulled out, it wasn't bad!
I sat down in the chair and they put the anesthetic IV into my arm. The colors on the ceiling seemed to shift slightly for a minute, and then for some reason, within about 10 seconds after that, I was out like a light. XD (Like when public binoculars snap shut after your time is up.)
I woke up, but not quite. I woke up fully a few hours later at home when I laid down on the couch.
I loved the various things I could eat. Mashed Potatoes with Gravy, Wendy's Frosty Shakes! Scrambled eggs.
The only annoying thing was getting the food stuck in the empty spaces.
Eat soft foods, like lentils and some quinoa. <---Complete proteins here. Also have some hempseed oil for essential fatty acids GLA. Had mine pulled and ate like this for about a couple of weeks till the stitches were removed. Fun times.
When I got mine pulled, they drugged me up and I was so high, lmfao! I'd definitely recommend an IV sedative any day to anyone. I didn't feel or remember a thing. I just remember thinking "When will I pass out?" and then waking up in a dark room that was soft and warm with my family all around me and 2 hours had passed. I don't remember the car trip home. And the next day there was some bleeding and soreness but not a whole lot of pain. I only had to take Vicodin once and only a half pill. I was almost fully recovered just 2 days after. I had lots of yogurt and juice and stuff like that but I was eating soft solids by day 3! I didn't get dry socket or any complications, it was awesome! And I had to get surgery, too, but it was all good. I had the surgery on Saturday and was back in school by Tuesday.
