A school project where we were to include a dog, cat, boy, girl, bird, and banana. It'll be hard finding the banana though!

honestly I love this most out of all your work and I would love to see more compositions like this, your anthology cover was the closest next favorite making me want more of that surreal, somehow serene and ordered chaos of those compositions and colors

This is beautiful and creative. I like drawings and paintings that are more original like this.

The colors are very nice.   :)

First sorry for my bad english ..

My girlfriend and future wife recently had unfortunately have to suffer the painful experience of an abortion in the 3rd month. This has hit her very hard, even stronger than I imagined ahead before.

At first it was very difficult for her because she displaced what happened.

Well yesterday she came to me and told me that she's written a little short story about a little girl how is called from all heavenly eminencies the star child, which should help her in processing of thoughts. I asked her to read me the story. Once she has finished the story, tears rolling from our eyes.

She have always had a talent for writing, and I find the story as well as my girlfriend deserve that this will be immortalized with beautiful illustrations in a book commemorating and celebrating this (our) little soul.

I have therefore thought that I would like to look for a suitable artist so that I can give my girlfriend the book (she knows nothing about my idea).

The story is one A4 page long, and I thought about 8 pages presented with illustrations.

Maybe we want sometime (when my girlfriend agrees) help other women / families whit this Book who have had a similar experience.

I would appreciate a response on my idea.

I simply adore this peace to death... The texture, color, composition. Just masterful. In awe.

Excuse me, but... If the hyena is supposed to be the dog... There's a bit of a problem... Hyenas are actually more closely related to felines than canines, however, they are in neither canidae or felidae; they are in the animal grouping Hyaenidae.

Besides that, this is a very creative piece...

bruh, this is a goddamn project, it could take weeks and months to make pieces like this.
Leonardo Da Vinchi made the 1-2 year project The Mona Lisa, and somebody made that in microsoft paint within a few hours.
but for sure, if its a project, that means it was most likely more than a day to make something like this.
so how the heck do you think they would change the hyena? it would ruin the rest of it from erasing it, and i think you shouldnt complain about something so thats taken a long time to make.
you can ask to change an hour or two worth drawing, but not a project, i know you may think 'oh, its a lesson, a fact, so they should change it, or remember to do it next time.'
well, hahaha .... yeahhh..... they aint gonna re-do this. i really doubt they will make barely anymore hyena's in their time.
i think you should let them be proud of this without a tick grabbing onto them saying 'hey you messed up!' and suck up onto them.
GallusVarius Featured By Owner Apr 2, 2017  Student General Artist
I wasn't expecting them to change the hyena at all. Sorry that I came across as complainative - I was just trying to inform that hyenas are not dogs. I'm sure they still got a fine grade, but - In truth, if hyenas are not dogs, then may I inform others that they are indeed, not dogs? Many myths come up about many animal species we have, many negative in affect, or tying in with those of whom have negative effects.

I'm not expecting them to redo it - I like it the way it is, and I did indeed mention, I thought it was very creative. I still think it's creative.  I wasn't trying to say they messed up at all - Only inform them that hyenas are, indeed, not dogs.   How should I inform such without coming across as aggressive? In any degree - My comment was a very, very long time ago. I hadn't even remembered it until your response popped up in my notifications. True to say I had been younger then - I had not known I should not inform or correct knowledge without being asked first. I am older now and have grown since then, and try to avoid such since.
So, I am sorry for correcting knowledge without first having been asked.
I'd still like to say, I love the idea of these dangerous beasts forming a 'terrorsel.' This reminded me of the piece as much as what I had said. I still really like it.

However... Please, may I request you... Could you speak kinder, next time? To be honest, what has been said has indeed hurt my feelings. I can see that you are defensive - And feel that I have hurt others - And I hope to inform that it was indeed, not my intention, and I am sorry. But it doesn't make me feel any better to be spoken this way, either.   If one refuses, that is fine. I am only requesting - Many would not perceive it as my place to ask for kinder words.
I had never mean't for them to re-do it, change it, or to feel like it was a failure - They depicted the hyena very well. It's a well-drawn hyena. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this piece itself. The hyena here is not incorrectly depicted at all - In fact, it's one of the more correct hyenas I've seen about.
I was only trying to get across that hyenas aren't dogs.

Yes, i'm sorry it was very late for me and i usually get grumpy by then, i was just saying i doubt they would change it,
i like your art? if you worked really hard on something you can get pretty core.
GallusVarius Featured By Owner Apr 3, 2017  Student General Artist
It's fine. We all have bad days and stuff, including me.
Of course. I doubt they would ever change it, too. They don't need to, it's great as it is.

Thank you, but I've got a while to go with what I draw. And I need to climb out of the abyssal depths of artblock. (Artblockification - or also known as Artblockitus ArticusBlockitus Disease... )

The expression of the tiger is so priceless, it brings me great frustration and joy to imagine the sound it might be making! :D I featured it in my journal alongside other works that inspire such a feeling of carefree happiness: On Top of a Flaming Eagle

The baboon ate the banana, methinks. Or it could just be the saddle decor you mean. ^^;
I LOVE the stylization of the tiger. Great wild expression!

I don't know when you were given the assignment vice when I got to see the amazing artwork here, but I sincerely hope your teacher gave you the highest possible grade for this. Still struggling to find the banana. To me, it looks like the tiger is scared of the kids. Having a toddler myself, I would not be surprised if this were true.
dif62 Featured By Owner Mar 10, 2013
My kids are grown now but I would have loved to have something like this for their rooms when they were little ...
fivestarlane Featured By Owner Mar 10, 2013  Hobbyist Digital Artist
I love the roundness in the characters. The kid's heads, the tiger's head, tiger's curls in its fur, its claws... It's cute, but contrasted by the "terror" of the animals. Looks great.

This is just supremely incredible. I love it! Someone else commented that it's "writhing with life" ... I'd agree with that. There's so much movement and the colours breathe vivid life into every part of it. Beautiful work. :+fav:
